Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Mckool Tires Ltd, doing business as Cool Battery Delivery ("we", "us"), based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

We sell car batteries and install them at your location in Calgary, Airdrie and Chestermere. The service includes the new battery, installation, a charging-system test and recycling of your old battery.

• The price you see for your vehicle is a flat rate per battery. GST is charged in addition.
• Some vehicles require battery registration or coding. When it applies, it is charged separately (currently +$100 CAD).
• You can pay online by card or digital wallet when you book, or pay the technician when the job is complete.

You are responsible for giving us the correct make, model, year and engine of your vehicle. We choose the battery based on the information you provide.

Arrival times are estimates. Typical arrival is 30–90 minutes, and you will see an arrival window before you confirm. Traffic, weather and demand can affect timing.

You may cancel your booking up to one hour before the scheduled arrival time, and in any case before the technician has left for your location. Payments made online for a booking cancelled in time are refunded to the original payment method.

If the battery you selected is not the correct one for your vehicle, the technician must return to the store for the correct battery, and a re-delivery fee of $70 CAD applies.

A battery that is returned must be in the same new condition in which it was received, with no scratches or signs of handling. A battery that does not meet this condition may not be accepted for return.

• Every battery we install includes a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. The warranty is provided by Cool Battery.
• You can extend the warranty to 3 years for $25 CAD + GST. This option applies to Standard and AGM batteries and is arranged by phone.
• For full details, see our Warranty page.

We collect and recycle your old battery at no extra charge when we install your new one.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Our liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in effect when you book are the ones that apply to your booking.
